Three Tulsa Police Officers, One ATF Agent To Be Sentenced Next Tuesday In Federal Court

Three Tulsa Police officers and a former ATF agent who were either convicted or pleaded guilty on corruption charges earlier this year will be sentenced December 7, 2011 in Tulsa federal court.

An attorney for a Tulsa Police officer convicted earlier this year of perjury and civil rights violations is asking a federal judge for a light sentence.

Officer Jeff Henderson was convicted August 24, 2011 on eight of the 53 counts against him, including six counts of perjury and two the civil rights violations.

A fellow officer, Bill Yelton, was acquitted in that same trial.

Before Henderson and Yelton's trial, a federal jury acquitted Tulsa Police officers Nick DeBruin and Bruce Bonham of 11 counts that they stole money from suspects and planted drugs on people.

At the same trial in June 2011, jurors convicted retired police officer Harold Wells on five of 10 charges that he engaged in drug trafficking and stole federal money.

Two other men have pleaded guilty in this case; former ATF agent Brandon McFadden and former Tulsa police officer JJ Gray.

Both testified for the government as part of a plea agreement.

Henderson, Wells, McFadden and Gray will be sentenced Tuesday, December 7, 2011 in Tulsa federal court.

According to federal court records Jeff Henderson's sentencing is at 9 a.m., Brandon McFadden's sentencing is at 10 a.m., JJ Gray's sentencing is at 11 a.m. and Harold Wells' sentencing is at 1:30 p.m.
