Tape from a 911 call minutes after a 73-year-old veteran was shot in Wagoner reveals a tense moment.

Kenneth Payne was shot on Thanksgiving Day at a gun range east of Wagoner.

Investigators are still looking for the suspect, but they released the 911 call a witness made, moments after Kenneth Payne was shot.

"Someone shot him out here. The deputy is here now. Tell that ambulance to step it up," the man told the operator.

"We've got an ambulance in route sir," she replied.

Investigators say Payne was leaving Toppers Gun Range when someone shot him several times and stole Payne's guns. Payne has severe injuries and is still in the hospital.
