Gundy A Finalist For Coach Of The Year

Oklahoma State Cowboy head coach Mike Gundy is one of five finalists for the 2011 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

This is the second year in a row Gundy has been a finalist for this award and other finalists include Michigan's Brady Hoke, LSU's Les Miles, Kansas State's Bill Snyder and Clemson's Dabo Swinney.

Gundy led his Cowboys to their first ever Big 12 Title this weekend defeating rival Oklahoma 44-10.

The 2010 Big 12 Coach of the Year, Gundy has led OSU to a 20-5 record in conference play since the start of the 2009 season.

Dating back to the start of the 2008 season, Gundy has led the Cowboys to 40 overall victories, which is the eighth-highest total in the nation during that time.

Oklahoma State will face Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl on Monday, Jan. 2 and the winner of the coach of the year award will be announced Dec. 15.
