Tulsa police say they are making an arrest in Tulsa's 50th homicide of the year. Tyshawn Bruner, 20, turned himself in to police, according to Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.

Shooting victim Demont Payne,21, died Tuesday morning following emergency surgery. The shooting took place at about 10 p.m. at the Fairmont Terrace Apartments, 1111 East 60th Street.

Police say Payne invited Bruner into an apartment, then the two men got into an argument over stolen pills and an Xbox that was for sale. Police say that is when Bruner pulled out a .45 caliber gun and shot Payne.

Police say there were at least two people inside the same unit at the time of the shooting.

"We believe someone saw something. We believe someone knows something. We strongly encourage anybody that saw something out of the ordinary to please give us a call," said Tulsa Police Captain Travis Yates Monday night.

Police say they saw several individuals quickly leave the apartment complex when they arrived. They searched the surrounding neighborhood and questioned everyone on foot in the area..
