NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Sooners opened the game on a big run Sunday and coasted to a 72-50 win over the Milwaukee Panthers to snap a three-game losing streak.

Joanna McFarland and Morgan Hook knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to open the game quickly for Oklahoma. That would be part of a larger 24-5 run, during which seven OU players scored at least two points – including five each from McFarland and Hook.

The Sooners' defense was just as stifling all night and kept the Milwaukee offense in check. The Panthers converted on just 14 of their 48 shot attempts from the night, and turned the ball over 20 times – 14 coming from starters.

Conversely, Oklahoma shot more than 46 percent from the floor, including 33 percent from behind-the-arc.

Junior star Whitney Hand led the charge for Oklahoma, turning in a double-double with 17-points and 10 rebounds, even dishing out six assists in the process. Aaryn Ellenberg did her part, scoring 14 and grabbing six boards, while Sharane Campbell wasn't far behind with 13 points.

Milwaukee only had one player finish the game in double-figures sophomore center Courtney Lindsford turning in 15 points in the loss.

The Sooners will now take a week off before heading to Las Vegas for the Duel in the Desert, taking on the University of Ohio at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the opening game.
