Disturbing new details about the man accused of killing two young Weleetka girls and his fiancé Ashley Taylor. The investigation into Kevin Sweat's fiancé's death was what ultimately led the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to crack the Weleetka girls' case.

Court records show investigators interviewed Kevin Sweat at least five times, and his stories were always changing. And as his story about what happened to Ashley Taylor unraveled, investigators said he also left a trail to Weleetka.

Just days before she was last seen alive, Ashley Taylor was posting about her wedding on her Facebook page. She was supposed to marry Kevin Sweat last July in New Orleans, but she never made it down the aisle.

Taylor's mother reported her missing on July 29, 2011. Okmulgee police interviewed Sweat the next day. Sweat told the officers that he and Taylor had gotten into an argument, and he left her on the side of the highway. He said that's the last time her saw her.

Three days later OSBI agents talked to Sweat again, and he said after he let Taylor out of the car he drove to a Henryetta park, then to his father's house, where he burned notebooks and videotapes.

On August 3, Sweat changed his story. He told investigators he and Taylor went to that Henryetta Park together, and he told her they weren't going to get married.

Court records show Sweat admitted he and Taylor got into a fight; he threw a pocket knife at her, and he confessed to cutting Taylor's throat. But Taylor's body wasn't where Sweat said it would be.

Investigators didn't find any of her remains until they searched Kevin Sweat's father's property near Weleetka. Court records say that's where they found fragments of human bone, pieces of clothing, and pieces of eyeglasses in a burn pile - all evidence investigators say is tied to Ashley Taylor.

Kevin Sweat's father's property is also where investigators say they found .40 caliber bullet casings that match shells found at the crime scene where Taylor Paschal Placker and Skyla Whitaker were killed.

A phone call to Kevin Sweat's attorney was not returned.
