Deer Blamed For Osage County Pickup Truck Crash

Two people are taken to a Tulsa hospital after swerving to miss a deer in the roadway north of Sand Springs in Osage County early Thursday morning.

Two people were hurt when a pickup driver swerved to miss a deer in the roadway north of Sand Springs in Osage County early Thursday morning.

Sand Springs Police say the crash happened just before 2 a.m. on state Highway 97-T near the Osage Nation Casino.

Police say the truck went off the roadway and down into some trees.

The passenger had to be taken to a hospital with a head injury, but police say he is expected to be okay.
