Authorities Search For Missing Tahlequah Woman

Cherokee County Undersheriff Jason Chenault says Karen Marsh, 53, was last seen on the evening of Tuesday December 13, 2011, leaving her apartment complex in her car.

Cherokee County authorities are looking for a missing Tahlequah woman.

Cherokee County Undersheriff Jason Chenault says Karen Marsh, 53, was last seen on the evening of Tuesday December 13, 2011, leaving her apartment complex in her car.

Marsh's car was first noticed, abandoned in the Sparrow Hawk Mountain area, near the Illinois River and State Highway 10, at around 11:00 pm on the evening of Wednesday December 14, 2011.

Chenault says law enforcement was notified on Saturday, December 17, 2011 about the car.

Sheriff's deputies along with rangers with the Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission and local firefighters searched Sparrow Hawk Mountain on Saturday and Sunday to no avail.
