Claremore Naval Nurse Back Home In Time For Christmas

A military family is celebrating after their loved one came home for the holidays.

Lieutenant Commander Kari Johndrow-Casey is a naval nurse from Claremore serving in Afghanistan.

She says all 22 members of her unit were able to come home and be with family. And she's thankful for the welcome she received.

"It was overwhelming. I just can't believe everybody here... my friends and my family and it just makes me feel really special... just excited to be back amongst people who love me and know me... yea it's good," she said.

Johndrow-Casey wasn't sure she would get to come home so she recorded a military greeting to her family, which will air next week.
