TULSA, Oklahoma – The TU women's basketball team picked up its fourth win of the season on Wednesday night with a 68-60 decision against Nebraska–Omaha at the Reynolds Center.

Taleya Mayberry and Chanice Scott each scored in double digits to help Tulsa improve to 4-6 while UNO dropped to 8-5.

TU coach Matilda Mossman said her players played like they were used to winning.

"In previous games when teams came back on us, we looked like a deer in the headlights, but I was impressed how our team handled being ahead and then having the other team come back at them," she said. "Taylor Hooker has been an unbelievable rebounder over the last three games and it is just her energy and the desire to get the ball, and I couldn't be more pleased with her right now."

Hooker finished with nine points and nine rebounds as Mayberry led the team with 13 points.

Tulsa reached a double-digit lead midway through the first half and held a nine-point advantage at halftime.

The Golden Hurricane increased its lead to as many as 16 in the second half and never trailed in the game.

Half of the Mavericks' points came from 3-pointers, as they shot 55 percent from beyond the arc as opposed to just 36 percent overall.

TU will return to action on New Year's Day against Stephen F. Austin. Tipoff for that game will be at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds Center.
