Funeral To Be Held For Muskogee Toddler Killed In Home Invasion

Funeral services will be held on Friday for a Muskogee toddler killed just before Christmas.

Two-year-old Ja'cion Logan died from a gunshot wound last week. His funeral is set for 1 p.m. at Harvest Ministries Church, located at 2200 E. Okmulgee Avenue in Muskogee.

Elbert Meeks, 21, is charged with the boy's murder. Court documents say Meeks shot Logan in the head as he tried to break into a home.

Meeks is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ja'cion Logan on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. His next court appearance is set for January 11, 2012.

Meeks is also charged in another shooting that happened earlier in the month.
