ROGERS COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Rogers County family lost their home to fire early Sunday morning. Northwest Rogers County Fire Department responded to the blaze at about 6:30 a.m. New Year's Day.

Firefighter Richard Gibson said the single-story home was fully involved when they arrived on scene.

The residents of the house were not home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

The home is located in a subdivision just north of Claremore and east of U.S. Highway 88. Claremore and Limestone Fire Departments assisted Northwest Rogers County.

Gibson said the department also ran on several grassfires during Saturday's high winds. Those were thought to be brush piles that reignited in the strong, gusty winds.
