Victim In New Year's Day Shooting Dies At Tulsa Hospital

Tulsa police are investigating the city's first homicide of the new year.

It happened outside the Brown Apartments near 11th and Yale just before 2 o'clock in the morning on January 1, 2012.

Michael Hooks, who also goes by Julius Hooks, died the next day after surgery.

Detectives are following up on several leads, but they still need help tracking down the killer.
