The first installment of men's Bedlam basketball hits the hardwood Monday night as the Oklahoma Sooners travel to Stillwater to take on the OSU Cowboys at 6 p.m.
Oklahoma State enters the matchup at 8-7 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play after a loss Saturday at Texas.
Senior guard Keiton Page leads the team in scoring averaging 14.1 points per contest including another team-best .374 from 3-point range.
First year head coach Lon Kruger and the Sooners are 10-4 overall and 0-2 in conference action after two tough games against Missouri and Kansas.
"They're a team that is really coming in here with a lot of confidence even though they've played a tough conference schedule thus far, very difficult. But they had a great non-conference run and gained a lot of confidence. They seem to really be responding to the system that Coach Kruger is putting in," said OSU head coach Travis Ford at his weekly teleconference.
OU is paced by junior Steven Pledger who is averaging 17.8 points per game. Oklahoma is 3-3 away from home this year and in on the road games, Pledger is shooting 49.3 percent from the field.
"Pledger can really get hot at anytime and knock down shots," added Ford. "Between Pledger and Clark and Fitzgerald these guys understand and have played some Bedlam games before, they know what it's about and it's an exciting game."
Monday's meeting is the 221st game between the two teams on the court. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 127-93 and in the last 20 seasons OSU leads the split 24-22.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
