OHP: Wagoner County Man Dies In ATV Crash

The body of a 73-year-old Haskell man was found late Sunday night after on his rural Wagoner County property trapped underneath his ATV.

The body of a 73-year-old Haskell man was found late Sunday night after on his rural Wagoner County property trapped underneath his ATV.

Jack Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Barnes left home at about 2 p.m. Sunday for a drive around his property on his ATV.

At about 5 p.m. Barnes' wife went looking for him.  After searching for two hours she called for help.

At 10:15 p.m. searchers found Barnes on the side of a hill with the ATV on top of him.  

Troopers say Barnes' body was found about 2 miles south and 1 mile west of Coweta.  They say he wasn't wearing a helmet.
