Authorities raided a suspected meth lab at a home less than 100 yards from an elementary school.

It happened Friday in the 700 block of South Mable, near Ellington Elementary School. The Wagoner County sheriff says a 6-year-old child was living in the home.

Deputies arrested Deborah Cruz, 49, and her 16-year-old son, Clayton. Investigators say they found "shake and bake" meth making materials along with prescription pills and other drug paraphernalia inside the Cruz's home.

"We have zero tolerance for drugs in Wagoner County, period," said Sheriff Bob Colbert, "but to have a drug house operating with a child inside, so close to a school, is especially despicable.

"We're happy to put these people out of business."

The 6-year-old child is in DHS custody.

Investigators and officers from the District 27 Drug Task Force and the Cherokee Nation Marshals assisted the Wagoner County Sheriff's Department in executing a search warrant.
