Give me more armadillos!!!!

Posted: Updated:

I have seen a few halftime shows in my day. Most are blah blah blah boring. I do like the guys that jump off the trampolines and do crazy dunks. They have been at the Shock games in the past.

I don't care much for bringing in the pep squad to cheer and squeal like goof balls. I don't like the magicians. I don't like the "comedians" who are usually never funny.

I did like what ORU did tonight. LIVE ANIMALS!

They held armadillo races at halftime of the men's basketball game. Kids from the crowd come out and try to coax this little armadillos to run in a straight line to the end of the mat that was set up at midcourt. The kids had to blow on the backs of the animals and move them without touching them.

Cute idea. Hilarious execution. There was even a big armadillo mascot dancing along to the rhythm of the race. We need more halftime shows like that.

I think that we should do some kind of parrot show this week at the OSU game. Maybe a head-inside-the-gator's-mouth type of show at the TU intermission. Get creative, people. I want more live animal action in my halftime shows.

The sold old lame juggler isn't cutting it for me anymore. The bar has been raised.

Thanks, armadillos.
