OKLAHOMA CITY -
A test version of NASA's Orion spacecraft will be stopping in Oklahoma City on a cross-country journey to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The crew module is traveling from White Sands Missile Range and will stop at the Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City January 24 – 25.
Engineers, program officials, astronauts and NASA spokespeople will be available to speak with the public.
The Orion spacecraft will serve as the vehicle that takes astronauts beyond low-Earth orbit, and the first orbital flight test is scheduled for 2014.
The Science Museum Oklahoma is located at 2100 Northeast 52nd Street.
