Tulsa police say they've busted a serial burglar. They believe he has had at least 20 victims in the last four months.

Detectives say he targeted parking lots - and one family is still trying to sort out the damage.

Tulsa police arrested Jeremy Dechaine this week during a traffic stop. They say they found in his car 28 drivers licenses belonging to other people - and that's not all.

Tulsa Police say Jeremy Dechaine had checkbooks, numerous keys and even pieces of broken window glass in his car when he was arrested.

The 31-year-old was caught on camera using some stolen credit cards. Police believe Dechaine's method was breaking into vehicles in parking lots. There have been 20 different victims burglarized at church, gym and other parking lots between September and December.

"I was very upset because that's our credit history, that's our reputation in the community," said Michael, a burglary victim.

Michael is one of those victims. His wife went to the YMCA back in September and when she returned to her car, the windows were shattered and her purse was gone.

She lost her wallet, IDs, checkbooks and the keys to her vehicles and the house.

"We had never had anything like that happen. She was really shaken," Michael said.

Michael changed his accounts and the locks on the house, but he still got bank alerts.

"They managed to get a couple of thousand dollars from Walmart and about a thousand from JCPenney," he said.

Ten days after the break-in, someone stole Michael's truck and wrecked it in Wagoner. Days after that, someone broke into the house and stole thousands of dollars worth of property.

"Some things that weren't replaceable - my grandfather's watch, my mom's jewelry box," he said.

Michael now has a security system at the house. He says he wouldn't even know what to say to the man who stole from him.

Jeremy Dechaine's rap sheet goes back to 2002 on all sorts of burglary, drug and forgery convictions.

Police are still sorting through the evidence and could pin more crimes on him - like Michael's stolen vehicle and house break-in.
