Thieves cleaned out an Owasso business on Highway 169 early Wednesday morning, stealing thousands of dollars in tools, a safe and a car.

Owasso Police say the target was Robertson Tire.  Thieves broke the front garage door glass to gain entry.

Police placed the value of the stolen property at more than $150,000, but officials with the company said as of Wednesday afternoon that they're still trying to inventory the cost of everything that was taken.

They say they've learned that other similar businesses in the metro area have suffered huge losses to burglars in the last few days.

Store manager Jim Reeves says the burglars took tools, the surveillance system, a safe, cases of oil, a box of shop towels and a customer's car parked in a work bay.

Reeves says he's working with Owasso Police and is now in the process of notifying customers about the theft. He is hopeful the thieves will be caught.

Owasso Police say the car that was stolen is a gold colored four-door 1994 Oldsmobile with Oklahoma license plate of 135-BHY.

If you've seen this car or know anything about the burglary, Owasso Police are asking you to call 918-272-COPS.
