BRISTOW, Oklahoma -
A man accused of cruelty to animals in a 2008 dog-dragging case has pleaded guilty in Creek County District Court.
The judge sentenced Cody Hahn, 22, to 5 years in prison, with all but one year suspended. That means Hahn will have to spend a year in the Creek County jail.
Creek County sheriff's deputies say on October 16, 2008 Hahn intentionally tied a dog to the back bumper of his SUV and dragged it down a road for about a mile.
The dog survived and has since been adopted out.
