Oral Roberts found itself in a big hole early and was unable to climb out of it, falling to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 75-60 Thursday, snapping the Golden Eagles' 13-game win streak in the process.

Jordan Dykstra started things off for the Jackrabbits, scoring the first five points of the game, including a three-point play. Roderick Person knocked down a jumper on the next possession, but then SDSU knocked down 10 consecutive points, including six from Nate Wolters to take a 15-2 lead less than seven minutes into the game.

Three minutes later, ORU would cut the lead to just seven points, thanks to six unanswered – four from Warren Niles – to make it 17-10. That lead held for the remainder of the half, with San Diego State leading 34-23 thanks to a three-point play by Dykstra with less than a minute on the clock.

The Jackrabbits stretched the lead early on in the second half, snapping off an 11-4 run, with Nate Wolters scoring the first four, to take a 45-27 advantage four minutes into the closing half.

Roderick Pearson knocked down back-to-back jumpers to stop the bleeding, but San Diego State immediately responded with four of its own to push the lead back to 18 points and cruised from there on out.

Wolters finished with a game-high 24 points, nine assists and three rebounds, while Dykstra contributed 22 points and four boards for the Jackrabbits.

Roderick Pearson set the pace for ORU, scoring 14 points, grabbing three rebounds and dishing out three assists, with Niles adding 14 points and six rebounds in the loss.

The Golden Eagles still hold a two-game lead on the Jackrabbits in the Summit League, with four games remaining, including a 7:30 p.m. matchup Saturday against North Dakota State.
