Broken Arrow Police: Man Run Over, Killed By Own Pickup Truck

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

A Tulsa man was found dead underneath his Ford pickup truck Friday morning in the parking lot of a Broken Arrow church.

Broken Arrow Police say the man, identified as Eric Herbig, 51, was found under his truck at St. Stephens Methodist Church in the 400 block of West New Orleans at about 7:30 a.m.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Herbig was standing in front of his pickup truck working on the engine, with the engine running and the truck in gear, when it rolled forward and pinned him underneath.

Police say it happened sometime between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

They say there were no witnesses to the incident, but police have ruled out foul play in Herbig's death.
