Tulsa citizens have a chance to ask questions - and get answers - on changes to city trash hauling services at a public meeting Wednesday. That's a day before the city council decides whether to buy new trash carts for residents to use.
The public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 175 East 2nd Street.
Council Chairman G.T. Bynum said the hearing is being held to keep Tulsans informed.
"While the Council will not have a say in the final trash contract, we do have the ability to get answers for our constituents on the facts related to the proposal," Bynum said.
Bynum asks residents to send their questions to the city prior to the meeting. Email questions to abrown@tulsacouncil.org.

The trash board has requested that the Council approve the about $14.5 million trash cart purchase so the board can award the contract to a company that did not include the option of providing carts in its bid.
The hearing will cover questions and concerns about the use of carts and anything else related to the upcoming changes in city's trash service contract.
