DELAWARE COUNTY, Oklahoma -

One Delaware County teenager is dead and another has lost his fight for life in what authorities are calling a murder-suicide.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office a 16-year-old boy's mother found her son and his former girlfriend lying in a road near Afton at about 4 p.m. Thursday. 

The ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old Jazmine Flynn of Bernice, was pronounced dead at the scene with a single gunshot wound.

Authorities say Flynn shot the 16-year-old and then killed herself after a recent break-up.

The sheriff's office says the Afton teen suffered multiple shots to his body and was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition.

He died of his injuries Friday morning, according to an update from Captain Ron Teel of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.

His name has not yet been released.
