One person was killed and another was critically injured in a one-vehicle crash in Marshall County Saturday night. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

It happened at 10:15 p.m. on U.S. 377, about two miles north of Madill, Oklahoma.

Troopers said a 2006 Ford Pickup truck driven by Jimmy Lloyd Sanderson of Tishomingo was northbound on U.S. 377 when it left the roadway to the right and struck a bridge curb. The truck then crossed the road to the left, ran off the roadway and struck several trees.

Sanderson, 40, was pinned for 15 minutes, and the passenger in the truck, 32-year-old Adam Espinosa, was pinned for 33 minutes before being freed by the Madill Fire Department.

Sanderson was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Watt's Funeral Home in Madill. Espinosa was transported by Eagle Med Helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas in critical condition with head, trunk external and internal, arm, and leg injuries.

Neither Sanderson nor Espinosa was wearing a seatbelt, according to the OHP collision report.

The cause of the collision is unknown at this point.
