TULSA, Oklahoma -- The City of Tulsa is planning to thank families of service members by offering a day for them to spend time together and learn about the U.S. military's rich history.

Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett has invited families of deployed military service members and those recently returned to take part in a Military Family Appreciation Day at Tulsa Air and Space Museum (TASM), 3627 N. 74th E. Ave., on Feb. 25 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

As part of the "Across the Generations Initiative" and working with Veteran Agencies/Groups in town, the free event will include: planetarium show, hands-on interactive exhibits and flight simulations for families to enjoy.
