OSBI Investigating Suspicious Death Of Pawnee County Baby

As first reported on NewsOn6.com, OSBI is investigating the suspicious death of a 7-month-old Pawnee County girl.

Jessica Brown, OSBI Public Information Director, said the agency is investigating at the request of the Pawnee County District Attorney's Office.

Emmalee Thornhill's father called 911 Saturday night to report the baby was unresponsive. An ambulance was sent to the family's home in the 800 block of S. Keystone Drive, near Keystone Lake in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Medical technicians transported Emmalee to Cleveland Area Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

OSBI agents have interviewed the girl's parents and conducted an investigation of the scene. An autopsy is being conducted to determine cause of death.

The Cleveland Police Department referred questions to the Pawnee County Sheriff's office. Pawnee County Sheriff Mike Waters confirmed the ongoing investigation, but would not give additional details.
