The Sooner women's team rebounded from Saturday's loss to Texas with 71-62 win over Texas Tech Wednesday night in Lubbock.

OU's Aaryn Ellenberg, Whitney Hand and Morgan Hook combined for 52 of the team's 71 points in the victory that moves Oklahoma to 19-10 on the year and 11-6 in Big 12 play.

Not only did Ellenberg record her first career double-double, but she also surpassed the 1,000 career points mark.

OU took an early 11-2 lead over the Red Raiders after going 4-of-5 from the field early on while Texas Tech only managed 1-of-7 shooting.

The Sooners worked it inside the paint as six of their first 18 points came from inside and by outrunning the defense in transition.

Even though OU had six turnovers in the opening half compared to Texas Tech's three, the Sooners outshot the Red Raiders from the field 43.3 percent compared to 28.6 percent.

At the Break OU held a 32-29 lead and Ellenberg tallied seven points, six rebounds and five assists.

The Red Raiders kept it close to open the second half, but OU pulled away midway through to lead 46-39. Texas Tech would get as close as four points, but four quick points by Sharane Campbell kept OU on top for the remainder of the game.

Ellenberg finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Hand added 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Hook finished with 15 points.

Texas Tech was led by Casey Morris who totaled 19 points as the Red Raiders shot 29.7 percent from the field.

Oklahoma managed 46.9 percent from the field but had 17 turnovers in the ballgame.

The Sooners close out the regular season Sunday against Kansas at 2 p.m. inside the Lloyd Noble Center.
