Oklahoma simply fell apart late in the game against Texas Wednesday night and suffered a 72-64 loss because of it.

Oklahoma led by as many as 12 in the game held a five point 55-50 advantage with 8:15 to play, but Steven Pledger was called for his fourth foul and was forced to sit out a few minutes which allowed Texas to make a run.

Longhorns guard J'Covan Brown hit a 3-pointer to tie the game with seven minutes to play and during the 4:45 Pledger was out, Texas went on a 12-7 run.

Pledger returned with 3:45 left with the game knotted 62-62.

In the final minutes, Texas outscored Oklahoma 10-2 as the Sooners had three key turnovers that the Longhorns turned into easy points to win the game.

Interestingly enough, the Sooners had zero turnovers in the first eight minutes of play, but as the turnovers were added, the points diminished.

Four Sooners scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough to make up for their 16 turnovers on the night. OU was paced by Romero Osby's 14 points while Pledger added 13.

Andrew Fitzgerald and Cameron Clark each totaled 12 points on the night and the Sooners shot 43.3 percent from the field and managed 44.4 percent from the 3-point line.

Texas' Sheldon McClellon led all scorers with 24 points and Brown added 22 points and six rebounds.

The Sooners are now 14-15 on the season and 4-13 in Big 12 play while Texas is 19-11 and 9-8.
