The Oklahoma State Cowboys trailed by single-digits at halftime, but a big run to open the second have put the Kansas State Wildcats way in front, knocking off Oklahoma State 77-58 in the final game of the regular season.

Oklahoma State was down by just three points with just 2:42 left to play, but the Wildcats scored a quick four points to close the half to take a 40-33 advantage heading into the locker room at halftime. The run continued on other side of the break, allowing Kansas State to build a commanding lead.

Keiton Page hit a three-pointer to open the half to cut the lead to four points, but then the Wildcats scored the next 14 points – including eight consecutive from Rodney McGruder – to take a 54-36 just five minutes into the second half.

Cezar Guerrero stopped the bleeding with back-to-back layups, cutting the lead to 14 points, but the Wildcats snapped off another big run – this time a 10-2 streak – to put the Cowboys down 64-42 with less than 10 to play. From that point, Kansas State matched the Cowboys, closing the game out and securing the win.

McGruder set the pace in the game, scoring 24 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out three assists, while Jamar Samuels finished with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 boards in the win.

Page was one again the top scorer for Oklahoma State, finishing with 22 points and five rebounds, but turned the ball over eight times. Guerrero contributed 15 points and five assists in the loss, but no other Oklahoma State player managed to score more than eight points.

The Cowboys will take a few days off before heading to Kansas City, Missouri for the Big 12 Tournament, opening at 8 p.m. against Texas Tech.
