A strong outing from TCU starter Stefan Crichton sent the Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 2-0 loss, their fifth of the season.

Crichton (1-0) pitched eight innings for the Horned Frogs, giving up just four hits and striking out four of the Oklahoma State batters he faced. TCU brought in Kaleb Merk and Justin Scharf to close the game, both of which gave up just one hit to end the game.

Kyle Ottoson (0-2) was credited with a loss for the Cowboys, giving up two earned runs on four hits and striking out four in his 6.1 innings of service.

TCU's started the scoring in the bottom of the first, after Kyle Von Tungen hit a leadoff double, advanced on a sacrifice fly and finally scored on a wild pitch. Von Tungen was in on the second score as well, hitting an RBI triple to bring Keaton Jones home from first base.

Oklahoma State will try to grab a series win over the Horned Frogs at 1 p.m. Sunday.
