Fast moving grass fires moved across the state on Sunday, burning land and threatening homes. Much of the state is under a Red Flag Warning because of warm temperatures and high winds.

One of those fires in Noble burned about 20 acres. There were no structures reported lost in that fire.

There were also several fires near Yale in Payne County that destroyed one mobile home and an out-building. Firefighters got some help from above attacking the fire.

A grassfire in Broken Arrow shut down two off-ramps from the Creek Turnpike. The 20 mph wind gusts were making it difficult to get the fire under control. The fire was put out around 5 p.m. Sunday.

Tulsa and several other counties are under a Red Flag warning through 7 p.m. Sunday. Extremely dry air, warm weather and gusting winds combine for dangerous wildfire conditions.

Motorists are reminded to dispose of cigarettes properly. Residents are also asked to use caution and avoid activities that could start fires.
