The Oklahoma Sooners snapped a five-game losing streak with a pair of wins over Air Force on Tuesday in Norman.

In game one of the double-header, OU found itself down 2-0 early on after two errors by pitcher Jacob Rhame.

Sooner senior Evan Mistich knocked an RBI single in the bottom of the first to cut Air Force's lead, then Hunter Lockwood's sacrifice fly in the fifth tied the game 4-4.

Later in the seventh, Dylan Neal managed a two-run single to give the Sooners a 6-4 lead.

The Sooners saw a big performance from reliever Steven Bruce who pitched the final 4 1/3 innings with only three hits and two walks for the third win of his career.

Mistich, Max White and Matt Oberste led OU with two hits apiece in the game one 8-5 win.

In the second game of the day, the Sooners took advantage of two Air Force errors to build an early lead.

In the bottom of the third, Dylan Raper got things started with a single and advanced to second off a sacrifice bunt by Caleb Bushyhead. An RBI double by Cody Reine plated Raper from second. Jack Mayfield then blasted an RBI triple to score Reine while Mayfield also scored off a throwing error. Hunter Lockwood doubled to left, stole third and later scored off a muffed throw from third base to give OU a 4-0 lead.

The Falcons got on the board in the top of the sixth. Jake Schomaker singled to left and Blair Roberts followed with another single before Garrett Custons doubled to left to score both Schomaker and Roberts, cutting the Sooners lead to 4-2.

But OU fought back in the bottom of the frame and extended the lead for good.

Max White's triple down the right field line was followed by a long ball by Matt Oberste over the center field fence to extend Oklahoma's lead to 6-2. The home run for Oberste was his first of the year.

Cale Coshow picked up the win on the mound for OU going five innings with four strikeouts while allowing five hits.

Max White once again paced the Sooners in hitting going 3-for-4 with one run scored.

OU returns to Big 12 play on the road against Texas Tech starting Friday March 23 at 6:30 p.m.
