Wagoner Man Charged Following Muskogee Walmart Gun Incident

A 35-year-old Wagoner man has been charged in Muskogee County court with larceny of merchandise from a retailer and obstructing an officer following his arrest inside a Muskogee Walmart store last week.

A 35-year-old Wagoner man has been charged in Muskogee County court with larceny of merchandise from a retailer and obstructing an officer following his arrest inside a Muskogee Walmart store last week.

Muskogee Police say Everett Rowlands is accused of stealing and trying to load guns inside the store late Thursday, March 22, 2012.

Employees evacuated the store before police arrived on scene. Rowlands was found hiding in the back of the store.

During a court hearing this week, a judge also ordered Rowlands to undergo a mental evaluation.
