A woman flags down police officers in the middle of the street early Monday morning after her roommate is shot inside their own house.

The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Iroquois.

The woman was taken to a Tulsa hospital and Tulsa Police are still looking for the shooter.

Investigators say two female roommates and one man were inside the house when the shooting happened.

The roommate ran outside and flagged down an officer patrolling the area.

She told the officer her roommate had been shot. Tulsa Police say the officer she flagged down was heading their direction anyway after hearing gunshots.

Police found the shooting victim inside the home with a gunshot wound to the hip.

EMSA took her to the hospital and she's expected to be okay.

When Tulsa Police searched the area they found Derrick Wilson, the man who was in the house when the shooting happened.

He somehow snuck out and hid in a car in the driveway.

Tulsa Police tell News On 6 they arrested him for a separate incident, after finding crack-cocaine on him.

Police say Wilson is not considered a suspect in the shooting because he was in the house with the other women when the shooting happened. He was only arrested on the drug complaint.
