West Tulsa Homes Evacuated After Gas Leak

Tulsa police evacuated more than a dozen homes on the city's west side after a car wreck caused a gas leak.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at 47th and Union.

Officers say the driver had some sort of medical condition and ran his truck off the road, hitting telephone poles, a fire hydrant and gas meter.

Residents in about 15 homes were asked to leave the area as a precaution until the leak was fixed.
