From The KOTV Vault: Easter Eggs, Bunnies And A Few Bonnets In 1981

In honor of Easter, here's two Easter weekend videos from the KOTV Vault. They're from the early '80s, and we're hoping someone will recognize the location of an Easter egg hunt.

Editor's note: As News On 6 prepares to move into a new building, we're taking inventory of everything in our current one, including hours and hours of old video. As the move approaches, we'll be sharing what we find here on NewsOn6.com.

Easter egg hunts are so exciting. We found some video in the KOTV Vault that shows an Easter egg hunt in 1981.

We know the date, just not the place. We're hoping someone who watches the video can tell us where it is.

The Easter Bunny was there.

On Easter Sunday, 1981, our reporter, Jilda Unruh, visited a Tulsa church. She was surprised to find so few Easter bonnets.

Church-goer: "We don't wear bonnets anymore."
Jilda Unruh: "Why is that?"
Church-goer: "Our hair-do."
Another Church-goer: "Well, I guess Easter bonnets are kind of out, aren't they?"

Wonder where they found that recording of Easter Parade – wowza.

One more Easter story - from 1982. The folks at Mrs. Dehaven's flowers hosted a party for day care kids and children of customers.

There were lots of balloons and a "wather scawy Easter wabbit."

What big eyes you have, Mister Easter Bunny.
