Mount Vernon's Isaiah Cousins Signs With Oklahoma Sooners

Wednesday was National Letter of Intent Day for basketball and the Sooners inked Mount Vernon, New York guard Isaiah Cousins, joining Jelon Hornbeak, Buddy Heild and Jarion Henry as the fourth member of the Sooners' 2012 class.

The 6-foot-4, 183-pound guard was named New York's Section 1 "Mr. Basketball," averaging 15.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.0 steals per game in his senior season, leading his team to its second Class AA state championship.

The three-star recruit selected the Sooners rather than accepting offers from Dayton, Connecticut, Virginia Tech and Xavier. Oklahoma is coming off of a disappointing 15-16 season, failing to make the postseason for the fourth consecutive season.
