The story of one survivor in the Oklahoma City Bombing is growing.

People from all are receiving seedlings from the "Survivor Tree" to plant in several places across the country, as a symbol of strength and healing for victims of tragedies.

When the seedling program first started, the trees were given to families of the 168 victims and rescue workers. Now Oklahoma passes out at least 200 hundred seedlings to people at the anniversary memorial.

"I think these seedlings allow people to take something living away from this National Memorial and plant," said Mark Bays, Urban Forestry Director. "Then, it begins to symbolize all things that are personal to that person."

In years past, seedlings have been planted at the Oklahoma Governors Mansion, Columbine High School, a park in New York honoring victims of 9-11 and the white house.
