Oklahoma Veteran Dies In Afghanistan

An Oklahoma veteran has died in Afghanistan.

Captain Billy Blankenship, a member of the Army Reserves based out of Fort Sill, was in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor.

He joined the military as a senior in high school at Bethany High, and previously had deployed to Iraq.

Blankenship was 43, and leaves behind a wife and four children.
