Oklahoma County Deputies Search For Person Who Spray Painted Dog

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is investigating a case of animal cruelty after finding a dog that was covered in paint stripes.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is investigating a case of animal cruelty after finding a dog that was covered in paint stripes.

Deputies were called to the 21000 block of Copperidge Road in Harrah on Thursday, April 26. A woman told police someone had spray painted her 18-month-old yellow Labrador from head to tail with blue paint.

"She came back spray painted. At first I thought she had gotten into something or on a truck but then I realized it was on her face and somebody tried to spray paint as mask on her face," Carma Hayes said.

Maggie, the yellow Labrador is happy, healthy, but a still a little blue, even after a bath.

Authorities are investigating this as animal cruelty. Deputies say they do not know who sprayed the dog. They are asking anyone with information to call them at (405) 869-2501.
