Four Stillwater residents were arrested Thursday after receiving about $70,000 worth of marijuana through the postal service, according to Stillwater police.

The United States Postal Service intercepted four packages bound for two addresses in Stillwater, one to the residence of Oklahoma State University baseball player Gabriel Weidenaar and one to the residence of Ryan Large.

The street value for each delivery was around $35,000, according to police.

After interception, the boxes, which each contained four bags of marijuana, were opened by USPS and police were notified, according to Stillwater Police Det. Kyle Bruce.

On Thursday around 10 a.m., the postal inspector performed two controlled deliveries to both residences and Weidenaar and Large were each arrested on felony possession with intent to distribute complaints.

Two others were arrested on misdemeanor complaints at Weidenaar's residence, his girlfriend, Austin Marie Yoder, and Jarrod Fields.

Court records show Large was charged Friday with three felonies: possession of marijuana with attempt to distribute, possession of a controlled drug without a tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia and two misdemeanor drug charges.

His bond has been set at $40,000 and he will appear in court again on Monday.

Weidenaar has not yet been charged, but Friday afternoon was being held on $200,000 bond.

Police are still investigating the relationship between Weidenaar and Large, but believe the final destination of both packages was Weidenaar's house, Bruce said.

The OSU student directory confirms Large and Yoder are students at OSU.

Weidenaar, an outfielder and relief pitcher who is one of OSU's top hitters, was an All-Big 12 second team selection last year.
