A Tulsa woman shot by police outside a grocery store two weeks ago was arrested Tuesday evening and booked into jail.

Tulsa Police say 35-year-old Maria de Lourdes Vazquez Hernandez was shot by two police officers in the parking lot of the Las Americas store at Admiral and Lewis.

Police got a call around 1:30 a.m. on April 20, 2012 about a woman with a gun in the parking lot. Officers shot Hernandez after she indicated to the officers she had a handgun and reached into her waistband.

In the suit, Hernandez says the officers are white and she is Hispanic and both officers "were acting pursuant to an unlawful police practice and custom of racial profiling of Hispanic persons."

She also claims damages of $75,000.
