Search For Man Who Jumped Into River Near Fairland Continues

Authorities searched to no avail Wednesday afternoon and evening for a man who reportedly jumped into the Spring River next to Twin Bridges State Park Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses told Grand River Dam Authority Police, 32-year-old Mitchell Cunningham jumped off a boat dock into the river.

GRDA Police and the Quapaw Fire Department searched until dark. Search operations resumed searching Thursday morning.

No reason was given why Cunningham may have jumped into the rain swollen river which flows into Grand Lake.

Twin Bridges State Park is located at the junction of U.S. Highway 60 and state Highway 137.
