SAPULPA, Oklahoma - The eastbound lanes of 1nterstate 44 southwest of Sapulpa were reopened Saturday evening following an accident involving at least 10 cars. Several of the cars were overturned.

It happened at mile marker 208 just before 4 p.m. Saturday.

The view from SkyNews6 showed a truck hauling a large trailer on top of a overturned SUV. Other vehicles looked badly damaged.

Troopers say at least two people were transported to the hospital. It's not known if there were any other injuries.

Stuck drivers along the Turner Turnpike turned the roadway into a several-mile long parking lot as eastbound traffic was being diverted at the Bristow exit.

The turnpike was reopened after two hours.

Troopers at the scene said there have been no arrests or citations given. No other details were immediately available.
