Fire Destroys North Tulsa Home

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Firefighters are calling a north Tulsa home a total loss after a fire Tuesday afternoon.

A Tulsa fire company was called to the 2300 block of North Birmingham Avenue just before 4:30 p.m.

Crews encountered heavy smoke and flames when they arrived at the 1200 square foot home.

There was a concern the roof would collapse early on, but crews were able to get the fire under control fairly quickly. There were no injuries.

Firefighters say the home is occupied, but it's not clear if the homeowner was there at the time of the fire.

Investigators have yet to determine a cause.
