Tulsa mayor Dewey Bartlett participated in National Bike Month by riding his bicycle to work from Coffee House on Cherry Street Monday morning.

Mayor Bartlett was joined by First Lady Victoria Bartlett, fresh off last week's bicycle tour with city councilors and city staff to announce the nearly 100 bike racks scheduled to be installed around the City of Tulsa later this year.

Bicyclists say special bicycle parking is needed in Tulsa and this first round of bicycle rack installations will make it easier to ride and park near key destinations in downtown, Cherry Street, Brookside, the Blue Dome and the Brady District.
