Highway In Pottawatomie County Reopens After Deadly Crash

A woman from Prague died early Wednesday morning after her minivan slammed into a semi truck in Pottawatomie County.

A woman from Prague died early Wednesday morning after her minivan slammed into a semi truck in Pottawatomie County.

The crash happened just after 3:00 a.m. two miles north of the Pottawatomie County and Seminole County line. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the minivan was traveling north on State Highway 99 when it collided with a semi. The crashed overturned the semi, blocking all traffic lanes.

There were four people in the minivan. The driver was killed, and at least one passenger was taken to a hospital. The driver of the semi-truck was flown by Mediflight to a hospital. Their conditions are not known.

It took crews nearly six hours to clean up the wreckage. State Highway 99 reopened around 8:30 a.m.
