TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa Drillers continued to struggle Wednesday, dropping their third consecutive game to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 6-2, managing just five hits and two earned runs in the contest.

Ryan Dennick (1-1) kept the Drillers off balance in the opening innings, giving up just three hits and striking out four batters in a five-inning outing. The only earned runs allowed by the Naturals came on a two-run home run by Kiel Roling – his seventh of the season – in the bottom of the sixth, but still trailed 3-2.

The Naturals stretched their lead in the top of the eighth, putting Nick Van Stratten on third thanks to a leadoff double and a wild pitch with no outs on the board. Mario Lisson came to bat in the following at-bat and singled to left field to bring Van Stratten home to take a two-run advantage.

Eric Duncan homered in the next at-bat to score two and make it a 6-2 lead in favor of Northwest Arkansas.

Dan Houston (4-4) picked up a loss for his outing, giving up three earned runs on seven hits, despite striking out seven in his 6.2 innings of service.

The Drillers will close out its home stand at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, before heading out on the road for a quick four-game road trip against the Springfield Cardinals.
